FYND

Talent discovery and comp cards.Case study · Intelligent Systems

Screens and video use invented demo profiles.

Agencies lose days to finding talent and chasing contact details. Talent have no controlled way to be found. FYND connects both sides: agencies search people who chose to be found, and talent publish a comp card they own.

The challenge

Scouting is slow, and outreach is easy to get wrong.

Scouting happens across social platforms, and every lead needs tracking by hand: who was contacted, who replied, who is on the roster, whose contract ends soon.

Outreach carries real risk. Under-18 profiles must never be contacted, people must be able to opt out, and email volume needs limits. A tool that ignores this puts the agency at risk.

Talent, in turn, need a card that looks professional without paying a designer, and control over who can see it.

The agency side

One workspace from first search to signed talent.

FYND Discover: a filter panel beside a grid of talent portraits
Discover. Filter by followers, niche, location, hashtags and recent activity. Each result carries a match score that says why it matched. The weights are adjustable, and the score is a rule, not a prediction.
A FYND talent profile with contact details, tags and status
Profile. Everything about one person on one screen, with shortlist, email, message and roster actions along the bottom.
The FYND inbox: a list of conversations beside a message thread
Inbox. Agencies message talent who chose to be found. The talent's email is never shown to the agency.
FYND casting calls with applicants
Castings. Post a call, receive applications, shortlist or decline.
The FYND roster with contract dates
Roster. Signed talent with contract dates and terms, visible only to the agency.

The talent side

A comp card people are proud to share.

The website

A public site that sells to both sides.

The FYND home page: a billboard photograph, the line Made to be shared, and buttons to create a card or see the agency tools
Home. One line, two doors: create a free card, or open the agency tools. Photography carries the brand, and the type stays quiet.
The FYND talent section with a mosaic of comp card designs
For talent. What a free card includes, shown through a mosaic of real card designs.
The FYND agency section with a screen of the Discover app
For agencies. The product itself is the pitch: the Discover screen, with a short line on what it does.
The FYND portal section showing the card editor beside a phone preview
The portal. A three-step walkthrough beside the real editor and a phone preview.
The FYND designs section with a comp card and design names
Designs. Seven card designs, with plain answers to the three questions people ask first.
FYND pricing: free for talent, free to start for agencies, and a talk-to-us tier
Pricing. Free for talent, free to start for agencies, and a conversation for larger teams.

The automation

The routine work runs itself, with safeguards built in.

  1. 01

    Search alerts

Save a search and tick Alert me. New matches appear in the notification bell, and by email at most once an hour.

  2. 02

    Outreach with limits

Emails go through an outbox, follow-ups are scheduled automatically, and unsubscribes and replies are tracked.

  3. 03

    Contract reminders

Roster contracts raise a note at 60, 30 and 7 days before they end.

  4. 04

    Under-18 screening

Profiles that look under 18 are hidden from agency search. A card cannot go live without a confirmed 18+.

  5. 05

    Scouting reports

A printable one-page shortlist with a link that expires after 30 days.

  6. 06

    Help and content

A help assistant answers from the product's own help topics, and an AI-assisted writer produces articles for the blog.

The takeaway

Good automation is mostly restraint.

The most important features in FYND are the things it will not do: contact a minor or show a private email address. That is how we approach intelligent systems: automate the routine, and design the limits first.
